TREND ALERT: Orange-Red Lipstick
Whether opaque and polished or sever and edgy, one item can not be skipped - lip liner! I know ladies, we have become so anti-lip liner over the past few years but at least a nude colored liner will prevent the dreaded "bleeding lipstick". *ewwww* Remember the order of proper application for all red-based lipsticks: foundation, dust with powder, lip liner, lipstick, blot, and reapply second layer of lipstick. This ensures seamless application and that your color lasts past your morning coffee.

Drool Worthy

I’ve come to realize that I dress from my feet up, a shoe is always selected first (based on mood, season, and occasion)…the rest just seems to fall into place! I’ve tried to select a blouse or a few bangles first but then I find myself faced with more shoe options than I even care to admit that would compliment my ensemble. *blink* Clearly you can see how a girl might end up in a pickle that way! I digress, feet up is the way that I roll.
The black and yellow stripped whipsnake box clutch is a power piece by Alexander McQueen. The color accent and the silver-tone skull and crystal-studded-knuckled-duster clasp SCREAMS edgy! A small yet powerful fashion punch, all women needs a “wild card” in her wardrobe. The sharp forma cut out sandals are by Miu Miu, edgy with a twist of elegance making this shoe multi-functional! It’s certainly edgy enough to play with the McQueen clutch but elegant enough to be paired with a maxi-dress for a Sunday afternoon brunch.
I love bold pieces that can carry an outfit – any outfit. This HAUTE duo would even make dark skinny jeans and a basic white tee deliciously fabulous! Let’s revamp our closets ladies, start by purchasing shoes and accessories to see which outfits from last year may still make the lineup in your Spring 2010 wardrobe. Step outside of the box, spice things up a bit, and let your hair down!
Fashion cannot be confined, it’s flexible and fluid. Fashion cannot be defined in a single term, it’s forever changing. I love that I am young and fashionably free during a time where there truly are NO rules, are you fully embracing your fashion freedom?

A Splash of Leopard Print
Unsurprisingly, it's been leopard that has remained most popular! *yaaaayyy* Tiger print is close behind in 2nd place while poor zebra has been relegated to the nouveau riche and Euro-trash set.

Certainly not your average gloves.....but HAUTE none-the-less!!! I literally drooled onto my laptop when I accidentally found these beauties.
Get your "tough-girl" on with these short, gold-tone pyramid studded, black leather gloves by Phillip Lim 3.1. I love the rounded back and elastic edge to ensure a snug fit.

Fall 2009 Trend - Ornamentation

Worn head to toe it's highly dramatic but probably too theatrical. One standout piece paired with a solid is a more likely choice. If your tastes are even simpler, the embroidered ballet flats or earrings will do quite nicely......like the ones pictured above from Tejani.
Antiqued gold-plated earrings with cultured pearls, glass and enamel - simply HAUTE!

MUST Have Manicure for the Fall

Not only do I LOVE this manicure but I love, love, LOVE this photo.....the yellow clutch makes this mod inspired manicure POP with delight!!
RE-introducing the Moon Manicure. The original "moon manicure" first showed up on screen stars back in the '20s. In graphic black-and-white, the two-tone paint job is bolder than ever!
Is this a look that you MUST have, try:
STEP 1 Apply one coat of opaque white (Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail color in Whirlwind White) over the entire nail and wait for the polish to dry completely.
STEP 2 Using a semicircular French-manicure stencil sticker (Orly French Manicure Tip Guides), block off the bottom third of your nail.
STEP 3 Paint two coats of black (Essie nail polish in Licorice) from the stencil to the tip of the nail. Once it dries, peel off the sticker and finish with a shine-enhancing top coat over the entire nail.

Fall Must Have

Bright Coat
WHY I LOVE IT: This is normally where you lean toward neutral, right? Yet, as the only garment this season where colors pop with a fruity vivacity, the belted coat is fall's wardrobe punch-up, eye-catching without extravagance.
HOW TO WEAR IT: Don't put up any competition. Black, navy, or beige underneath is how to best highlight these coats. Work that belt—keep it tied. It creates a V shape between the wide lapels that's a stunning face-framer wherever you go.
Affordable option pictured below (since those pictured above are Versace and Alberta Ferretti): Esprit Wool coat, $190; visit esprit.com for stores.

I want THESE but I"ll take those...and this too!
This Fall, we are going to see alot of lace, ruffles, pleats, and other romantic touches on shoes. My favorite is lace because it's very 80's rock (which you KNOW a Diva like me LOVES!!).....so here is the shoe that I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY want - Christian Louboutin Ambro Leopard Lace Peep-Toe Pump, $825 (Exhibit A).
Being that $825 is outta my league, I have decided that I can get my "lace-fix" from....
Yes yessss, CL (Christian Louboutin) does make the most beautiful lace shoes but these Carrielee Pumps by Guess are pretty darn haute!!! AND with a $99 price tag, they are almost a no brainer.
