Bikini Trimmer

Schick's latest hair-maintenance tool for women is a regular leg-shaving razor on one end and a bikini-trimmer on the other. Feministing is upset that this perpetuates the societal pressure women feel to shave down there. New York Magazine is most bothered by the commercial, in which women walk or jog in typical lady-product-commercial fashion past overgrown bushes, which transform to neatly trimmed shrubs as they pass. (LMAO @ the overgrown bushes)
Come on people, it's NOT that serious....and personally, I think that it's our obligation as women to foster an environment in which women are comfortable enough to talk about shaving. It is also our duty to excommunicate any DIVAS in our circle who do not practice such acts as bikini shaving/waxing, pedicures, and no visible panty lines!
Just my opinion.

Your Pleasure

Ummmm, you know this here has me excited!!!!! lol
My Boo and I were up late night and this commercial came on - yes, a COMMERCIAL for a personal vibrator! (who knew) It actually was HILARIOUS how they tried to keep it as PC as possible but we knew what they were trying to get at.
They flashed the website at least 5 times so you know I had to look at it as soon as I woke up this morning. It's $19.99 - problem #1, and can be used more than once within the 30 minute battery life - problem #2. For $20 more you can purchase the pocket rocket that last for YEARSSSSSS as long as you don't drop it and who wants to play for just 30 minutes???
Is it me?
If you have tried it or have plans on trying it, please let me know how this works out for you.

The Sponge
I have a few gal pals who SOOOOO miss the Today Sponge. I myself have never used it but I hear that it was a convenient for of birth and looks kind of cute and user friendly from the pics I saw online. Anywho, the manufacturer of the Today Sponge filed for bankruptcy in late 2007....BUT good news - drug company Alvogen has bought the sponge and hopes to have it on the shelves soon ladies!!! (HEY NOW, get excited)
So hold on and strap up until then.

"Am I Tight Enough?"

I received the following question via email regarding a sexual concern of a "20-something" woman in Philadelphia:
Q: Am I tight enough down there?
A: All vaginas aren't created equal...but they're not far off. While slight differences in tightness may be noticeable, it's nothing worth stressing about since the variation is so minuscule. And if he does feel like he has extra room down there, it's almost certainly because he's on the small side!
Worried that you'll become loose from too much use? "The vagina has a lot of elasticity and won't become stretched out from sexual activity," explains Ian Kerner, PhD, author of Passionista: The Empowered Woman's Guide to Pleasuring a Man. In fact, the only thing that can stretch you out is having a baby...and even that's minor shockingly after passing something the size of a Mini-Cooper through your platinum walls! (yes, that was dramatic - sorry)
To deal with what you may perceive as a lack of tightness try Kegel Exercises by contracting and releasing your pelvic-floor muscles — the ones you use to hold in pee — at random times during the day. (I'm doing it now, do it with me.....and 2, 3, 4 - and hold, hold, hold, and release) Then whe you're having sex, tighten them as he thrusts. You'll both find that you feel tighter, and you may even have a more intense orgasm. Or try this position to create more friction: Lie on your side with your thighs together, and have him enter you from behind which is always a winner for both involved! (wink)

Yeast Infections
Q: Will yogurt cure a yeast infection if you put it "inside"?
A: While yeast is naturally present in your vagina (in the form of the fungus Candida albicans), an overgrowth of it is a problem and needs to be treated. If you notice a change in color, amount, or odor of your vaginal discharge, or if you have increased vaginal itching or irritation, contact your gynecologist before reaching for the yogurt tub. Only he/she can diagnose a yeast infection and prescribe an anti fungal medication (some can be purchased over the counter), which is the preferred treatment.
There's no solid evidence that eating yogurt can prevent yeast infections. However, if you need temporary relief from itching and irritation while you're waiting for an infection to be diagnosed or for the meds to take effect, it can't hurt to try a little of the plain variety; just dab it on a tampon to insert.

When in doubt.....WAX IT!

That's just my motto, but then again I hate hair ANYWHERE other than on my head!!! (TMI huh?)
Anywho, Cindi Barshop, who founded and runs the Completely Bare waxing spas in New York (it's where stars like Kimora go to take it all off), is doing her first at-home waxing webinar tonight. She and her staff will be live on your computer screen, giving you the low-down on how to do your own Brazilian (ouch!) and completely bare (ouch! ouch!) bikini wax, along with instructions for de-fuzzing other body parts. You can ask all your hair removal questions and get instant answers & advice. It's free, but you need to sign up at http://www.completelybare.com/.
Have any of you ever tried D.I.Y. waxing?

Cat Traps Need Love Too
Pardon me for saying so, but the vagina is having a moment. Paparazzi crotch shots, labia nipping and tucking, ubiquitous Brazilian wax jobs -suddenly everyone's fixated on this very private part! Here is a quiz I found on Glamour.com to see how much you know about your Cat Trap:
Using a washcloth or sponge is the most effective way to clean down there because it gets into all the little nooks and crannies. True or False?
If I notice a strong odor, I should use a stronger soap. True or False?
The best way to deal with discharge is to use a pantyliner. True or False?
Occasional douching is fine--why else would they be sold? True or False?
Although it may surprise you, the answers are all FALSE. One of my missions in life and as a vagina-loving-lesbian is to get rid of that "the vagina is dirty" thinking. I promise you, you're clean already!
Rule: Treat your vulva and vagina like a newborn baby (but with less powder). Use your hands to clean yourself on the outside only (no washcloths up in the Cat Trap--yes, some women do this). Wash once a day with gentle soap and water; I'm a fan of Dove because it's so mild.
Experts say NO daily pantyliners--they don't let the vagina breathe, which can actually increase discharge (save them for light period days) and NO douching, "hygiene" creams, or sprays--you're only likely to push bacteria up into your uterus, where it can cause trouble.
Interesting info right?!?

Beautiful Betty Time

Hey yall! I heard about this product on the Wendy Williams Experience on Tues, How U Doin'? LOL It's like designer color for the Va-JayJay hair ladies, talk about a shocking surprise when your man or woman slides your lace panties off!!!
Now, I am not a hair on the Betty type girl (I have been clean shaven since '91) but I do think this is the cutest idea!!! They even have stencils - like heart shaped. : - )
Add a little zest in your life with Pink Fun Betty. Use for a special occasion, a night on the town or whenever you're feeling playful. Color will not rub off on clothing or during physical activity, aka KINKY SEX! Color lasts about 4-5 weeks.
Enjoy, http://www.bebeautiful.com/.
