Fashion Week Style Icon - Rachel McAdams

Rachel looks sugary sweet at New York Fashion Week! She's always on point: ensemble, hair (which appears to be a few tones lighter than her usual), and makeup.

At the Alexander Wang show, Rachel's highlighted her curves in a black-and-white striped bandage skirt and booties (left). Simple and elegant!

The actress wore a bold blue Derek Lam dress and peep-toe pumps at the Proenza Schouler show (right).....F-I-R-E!!!!!!!!!!!

Style Icon of the Week - Beyonce Knowles

Beyonce looks deliciously fabulous in this metallic pink Atelier Versace gown on the red carpet of the 2009 MTV European Music Awards!! Is anyone else experiencing mouth watering or tingling of your girlie parts from this vision of beauty?!?

Normally I am tired of seeing Bey in this type of silhouette, she has done and OVER done the mermaid dress.....but the metallic, futuristic spin is a winner!

Her look is complete with simple hair and fresh makeup.

I give Beyonce 4 Quick Claps out of 5!

Mystery SOLVED

From time to time I receive email questions which I do LOVE, send all questions to PassionForPretty@gmail.com with "QUESTION" in the subject line - the wilder the question, the better......I digress, this week I received an email stating:

Q: I love the black bustier that Rihanna is wearing in the "Paranoid" video. I need details Diva!!! - Tara, LA

A: Hey Tara girl....I got the details you need babes! *smile* Isn't that video just fabulous?!?!? Rihanna plays a tortured soul but looks stunning doing it!!! Well the bustier is from La Perla, the Black Label Collection (see tiny ass picture below....La Perla has a TIGHT lock on their images!). It's available at laperlausa.com for $480.

LEGENDARY Style Icon - Michael Jackson

I am so heartbroken over the passing of Michael Jackson, I can't even put it into words.....so I will pay homage the best way I know how - by memorializing his fashion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (get excited!)

He had such an impact on style over the years, Jackson was one of the first to popularize this snappy style, complete with gold roping, slim-cut pants, and shiny shoes. The pop singer's influence was everywhere on the runway this past season; Balmain's ultra-tailored military jackets and vests galore, red leather and zippers at Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, and the sequined gloves at Louis Vuitton.

Long live Michael Jackson's love of shiny material, sequins, and military/band leader jackets, singular sequin glove, and iconic white socks with black shoes!

RIP Michael (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009)

Style Icon of the Week - Christie Brinkley

Christie Brinkley is one hot 55-yr old woman, she looks INCREDIBLE.....plastic surgery or not, this former SuperModel is in tip top shape and flaunting her assets!!

Earlier this week, she attended the 6th Annual Wayuu Taya Foundation Gala in NYC wearing this gorgeous brick red colored dress. The cut skims her frame just right, the calf-length is sexy and forces your eyes to focus on the upper part of her body where her flawless makeup and impeccable hair complete this look!

I LOVE that she did not over-accessorize, she chose a simple double-strand necklace from her own jewelry line.

She finishes things off with a simple clutch in a lighter color, which is a beautiful contrast to the dress.

The only place her age really shows is in her hands (remember to use hand lotion WITH SPF daily, ladies!) but you have to give her some props. At 55, we’d all be so lucky to look this good.

Style Icon of the Week - Halle Berry

This should be of NO surprise to anyone.....Halle was, is, and will always be a Style Icon period! With that being said, I had to choose her as the Style Icon of the Week for this simple, classic, non-forced look pictured above - F-L-A-W-L-E-S-S!!!!

Miss Berry is photographed arriving at the opening ceremony of the Shanghai International Film Festival in a sweeping chiffon Marchesa design and Jimmy Choo sandals.

I love that she played up her pixie cut with a shoulder-baring asymmetrical gown embellished with crystals. Since she's wearing a dress with a little something extra, she kept the rest of her look clean with minimal jewelry. (her stud earrings)

I just adore her in this haircut, you better WERK and TWERK Miss Halle!

Style Icon of the Week - Ashley Tisdale

I mean can you just LOOK at Ashley Tisdale on the MTV Movie Awards red carpet......was she not the HOTTEST thing there?

She wore a purple leather dress by Norwegian/ New York designer Elise Overland, who designed costumes for Aerosmith while she was still in design school.

Ashley glammed up the already-glam purple dress with Paul & Joe Sister gladiator heels (don't you LOVE them), a very on-trend Balenciaga belt, and a serious snake ring by Loree Rodkin.

Little Miss Ashley perfected the Movie Awards red carpet look!

Style Icon of the Week - Renee Zellweger

Above is the LOVELY Renee Zellweger attending the "The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion" Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The shape of this dress and the way it hugs her body to perfection is what instantly caught my eye, it is flawless!

At first glance it seems as if there are pleats in this dark olive, strapless beauty by Carolina Herrara (Renee's FAVORITE designer, she very rarely wears another designer) but upon further examination you can see that it is the texture of the fabric that gives this illusion!!! (get excited)

Paired with this gown is a double-strand statement necklace that gently hangs at her breastbone. Her hair is simply pulled off her face and her makeup is soft as to not compete with her ensemble. She always looks classy and feminine when on the red carpet, something that I LOVE - she kind of channels old Hollywood glamour!

The only thing missing.......a bracelet or a ring, what do you think?

Style Icon of the Week - Kerry Washington

The epitome of beauty and grace.....Kerry Washington never disappoints! Here she is at the "Face" premiere at the Palais De Festivals during the 62ND Annual Cannes Film Festival looking deliciously tasty in this fabulous black and white, lace, one-shoulder Oscar de la Renta gown. Can you say STUNNING!

Everything from her bouffant hair, flawless make-up, pearl drop earrings and black and rhinestone clutch is pure perfection! I am SO glad that she traded in her signature nude lips for a pop of color up against the basic black and white palette of the dress.

Kerry, if you are out there reading Passion For Pretty.....I LOVE YOUR STYLE GIRL, did anyone ever tell you how gorgeous you are? (I'm single babes, give me a call! lol)
