Fit for a Queen!

Alexander McQueen's Spring 2010 runway collection was amazing, but the shoes......the shoes are OUTRAGEOUS!!! Unlike anything I have ever seen. *blink* *blink*

Fantasy heels ruled on the ruled on the runway, they looked to be out of this world; super high, skeletor-like, and interesting curved booties clearly designed for the animalistic and bold.

My favorite are these bubble gum pink pumps with industrial looking metal accents - simply haute!!!

Word on the Fashion Stroll is that McQueen has been BOMBARDED with requests for these extraordinary heels since the collection debuted, expect to see these beauties in Tinseltown.

Christian Dior Fall 2009 Couture SNEEK PEAK!

Here are some of the first images that was released from the Christian Dior Fall 2009 Couture Show that walked this past Monday in Paris.

The collection, entitled "Fever in the Cabine", was inspired by archive photographs of the 1950s of Mr. Dior himself dressing the models at headquarters in the way the clothing use to be presented to the press and clients.

I am in total awe of this collection, the simplicity and the tap pants, girdles, lace-edged slips, and petticoats. I love the way the color pops against the flesh tone of the fifties-ish undergarments!

And I am LOVING the shoes, the height is much more reasonable than last Fall/Winter when you needed a license and health insurance just to walk in those bitches! LOL

Valention 2009 Fall Shoe Collection SNEAK PEEK!

Ooh la la! I am in love!!!

Valentino has always been one of my favorite designers simply for the femininity and elegance that is oozes from the designs.

Dark silver and black are a fabulous contrast, and it is done superbly here with the delicate satin roses which is oddly has a romantic feel in a Romeo and Juliet kind of way.

Valentino Rose Pump - Dark gray mirrored calf leather, satin rosette detail on vamp, peep toe, hidden platform with a 4 7/10" covered stiletto heel. $775

Gucci 2009 Fall Shoe Collection SNEAK PEEK!

No need to adjust your screen or put on your glasses, you are seeing correctly......these are SICK Divas! The heel, the platform, the height - YUMMY!!!

I know, I know, most of you have a love-hate relationship with thigh-highish boots - unable to decide if they are fashionable or a bit on the hooker/stripper side. If you ever wanted to give them a try and blend in with the rest of society then this Fall 2009/Winter 2010 is the time to do it! Over-the-knee boots were all over the Fall 2009 catwalks, in styles that ranged from stocking-like to trouser-like in their appearance.....but these Gucci ones win the prize!

Gucci Division Over-the-Knee Boots - stretch and patent leather 27" shaft, 16" leg circumference, 4" metal heel, and 1.5" platform. $2,950

LEGENDARY Style Icon - Michael Jackson

I am so heartbroken over the passing of Michael Jackson, I can't even put it into words.....so I will pay homage the best way I know how - by memorializing his fashion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (get excited!)

He had such an impact on style over the years, Jackson was one of the first to popularize this snappy style, complete with gold roping, slim-cut pants, and shiny shoes. The pop singer's influence was everywhere on the runway this past season; Balmain's ultra-tailored military jackets and vests galore, red leather and zippers at Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, and the sequined gloves at Louis Vuitton.

Long live Michael Jackson's love of shiny material, sequins, and military/band leader jackets, singular sequin glove, and iconic white socks with black shoes!

RIP Michael (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009)

Statement Shoes

This shoe is BEYOND hot, it's GLAM SLAM!!! (like a slam dunk but glamorous! lol)

Do you get a bondage feel with this shoe....like updated bondage with a Madagascar twist! (what was the name of that damn zebra in the movie played by Eddie Murphy - Melman?)

Anywho, the bondage feel paired with animal print plus metal hardware equals a shoe-gasm for me!

Clearly Givenchy is not playin' this Spring and Summer!!!

Statement Shoes

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!!!!! I can't......I don't even know where to start, I, I, I.....excuse me as I wipe the drool off of my keyboard!!!!

My heart is beating faster and my palms are getting sweaty; THESE ARE FUCKING FABULOUS - PERIOD! John Galliano knocked it out the box with these beauties - it's like haute couture meets Star Trek, Princess Leah meets Paris Fashion Week!!!!

You know I love the pink metallic leather but the heel is what has my girly parts tingling with joy, pure perfection. I don't know how these would translate off the runway but you know a Diva like me would LOVE to try and see! lol

I NEVER Knew Love Like This Before!

Ohhhh, these touch me SOOOOOO deeply in ways that I have never been touched before! lol (well, correction - aside from the touch of my Boo)

These shoes are from the Spring 2009 shoe collection by Viktor & Rolf. I love the bright colors, isn't it OUTRAGEOUS!

V&R's use of so many different materials -- crocodile, leather, velvet, silk and sequins -- results in a beautiful shoe. As you may know by now, I love to wear bright, over the top shoes with simple outfits like jeans and a blouse so these shoes are right up my alley.

Clever Fashion or Fashion Faux Paux?

Do we like this P4P Readers? I originally saw this shoe design online from a Marc Jacobs Fashion Show last year but honestly never thought that I would run into one live and direct from the bars of NYC!!! lol

I must say that I am on the fence about this one, I LOVE an unusual shoe but there is something awkward and aesthetically off with this when looking from afar....almost looks like a deformed or broken foot.

Comments & opinions please - Clever Fashion or Fashion Faux Paux?

Spring Shoe Trend

Forget about different toe shapes and heel heights; in Spring/Summer 2009 shoe trends all come down to the details....fringing, lace, buckles and straps - OH MY! Exotic to fetish to architectural; these are the elements that define the trends.

One thing is certain, boring they are not!!

Chanel Couture Spring 2009 Headdress

Hairstylist Katsuya Kamo created this blooming headdress for the Chanel Couture show.

It only took him and six or seven helpers three weeks and two packets of 11 x 17 office paper.....OMG, totally amazing!!! It's kind of chic with those black roses - just unreal!

Diane Von Furstenberg showed Resort how it should be! The collection was signature DVF bold stripes, elegant silhouettes, ruffles, vibrant colors even a dress done in nautical flags!
