How to Apply Fake STRIP Lashes

Good Morning Ladies! I have gotten a few compliments on my lashes when I wear them and have decided to help you all out as much as I can without providing a full-scale class! (because then I would have to charge and you would have to pay) So......here we go:

Applying fake lashes is best left to your makeup artist (such as myself), but with a little patience and practice, you too can master this art. So don't try it five minutes before leaving to be FAB at a party or on your way to get your drink on at the bar. Andrea lashes are great and they are available inexpensively at the drugstore for you new users and for the more experiences try MAC or Shu Uemura that Oprah reportedly uses ($2,000) or the Custom diamond mink ones that Madonna loves($10,000). FYI - my birthday is in January, if you ALL start saving now I might be able to get a set of the diamond ones! : - )

Keep a piece of paper handy to hold the lashes, and a hand held mirror, which makes the job a lot easier. Using a tweezer, dip the base end of the lashes into the glue, then place the lashes as close to the baseline of your own as you can, filling in wherever you want the greatest impact (generally, the mid to outer lashes look fabulous in false lashes). Press gently, but firmly with something blunt or the end of the tweezers. Hold the lash in place for about 5 seconds until the glue has a chance to hold. Let the glue dry, and then apply a dark eyeliner to camouflage the line of the fake lashes and then apply your mascara. The mascara will help blend your own lashes with the fake ones, and make your eyes look fuller and larger. Try Dior Show Mascara ($23) or Prescriptives False Lashes ($19.50).

To remove, rub with an oil based product and gently pull them off with tweezers.

Happy Lashing and until tomorrow - Smooches, Quick Claps, and Much Love,

-Erin
